FlixBridge AGENTS.md

FlixBridge AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from thesammykins/FlixBridge. It costs 4,850 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

An AGENTS.md instruction file for FlixBridge, an MCP server built with a small TypeScript codebase and a limited set of dependencies. MCP is a standard way for an AI agent to use external tools and services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or changing FlixBridge services, HTTP calls, TypeScript types, validation, GraphQL-related code, or other parts of the MCP server.
Why use it?
It sets clear limits for code size, dependencies, typing, framework use, and external network calls, helping contributors keep the server small and predictable.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.04850 $0.04850
Opus 5 $0.02425 $0.02425
Sonnet 5 $0.00970 $0.00970
Haiku 4.5 $0.00485 $0.00485

Measured 3d ago against content hash 212a99ec5e78, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

FlixBridge AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md – How We Build Here

This document defines engineering principles, architectural constraints, and contribution patterns for this MCP server. It is intentionally focused on how we build (process, quality bar, patterns) rather than what we build. Keep it short, boring, and repeatable.

0. Core Constraints

  1. Total handwritten runtime TypeScript LOC (excluding config, README, this file) MUST stay ≤ 700 lines, but the entire project can be more than that, any core service is exempt from this rule, but it should be kept as small as possible.
  2. Zero heavy frameworks. Prefer the platform (Node 20+ LTS, native fetch / undici).
  3. Minimal dependencies (target set):
    • typescript@^5.9.x
    • zod (runtime validation, narrow usage)
    • @biomejs/biome (formatter + linter; replaces ESLint/Prettier)
    • tsx (optional dev runner) OR plain node as appropriate
  4. No class hierarchies unless polymorphism cannot be expressed more simply (object literals + functions preferred).
  5. Strict TypeScript ("strict": true, include noUncheckedIndexedAccess, useUnknownInCatchVariables).
  6. All external I/O (HTTP) funneled through one tiny helper to enforce:
    • Timeouts
    • Error normalization
    • Consistent logging hooks (single choke point)
  7. The repository should always be in a shippable state (main = releasable).
  8. Public surface area (exported symbols) stays tiny; internal refactors remain cheap.

1. High-Level Architecture

/src
  index.ts -> MCP server bootstrap + tool registration
  core.ts -> shared fetch wrapper (retry + timeout)

  metrics.ts               -> observability & metrics collection (Phase 3)

    base.ts -> shared service & operation type contracts
    shared.ts              -> BaseArrService implementation
    registry.ts            -> service registry: serviceName -> adapter
    arr/
      sonarr.ts -> Sonarr adapter (conforms to shared contract)
      radarr.ts -> Radarr adapter (conforms to shared contract)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
