CLAUDE.md

amimcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from thomas-luebker/amimcp. It costs 747 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository-specific instructions for working on the amimcp project, including where its durable project notes live and which existing Amiga tools to reuse.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it at the start of work on amimcp, when updating project status or next actions, or when handling Amiga disk images, binaries, or related tooling.
Why use it?
It keeps project state and decisions in the agreed location and avoids rebuilding tools that already exist.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00747 $0.00747
Opus 5.5 $0.00299 $0.00299
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00149 $0.00149
Haiku 4.5 $0.00075 $0.00075

Security

Grade A, and why

amimcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Long-term memory: the Obsidian vault

This project's durable state lives in the Loki Obsidian vault:

~/Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~md~obsidian/Documents/Loki/20 - Private/Retro Computing/Projects/amimcp.md

Read that note at the start of a session — its ## Status and ## Next Actions are the current state and the agreed next steps, and it holds the decisions and findings that are not in the code. Update it when the state changes: refresh ## Status (dated), rewrite ## Next Actions, bump updated: in the frontmatter.

This repo's own backlog stays the fine-grained list; the vault note is the durable summary and the cross-project view. Directory-wide rules: ~/Development/CLAUDE.md.

Tooling next door — do not rebuild it

Before scripting against a disk image, hand-typing on the Amiga, or hand-rolling a 68k binary, check ~/Development/ — it is probably already built:

  • Disk images — AmigaDiskKit / AmigaDiskCLI (~/Development/AmigaDiskKit/, also vendored into Amiga Imager). Pure-Swift MBR + RDB, FFS/OFS, PFS3, ADF, FAT32, LHA, ILBM/icons, Int64 offsets throughout. The CLI is not on PATH — ~/Development/AmigaDiskKit/.build/arm64-apple-macosx/release/AmigaDiskCLI — and does disk rdb-build / rdb-format / fs dir|mkdir|copy|extract / lha create. Sizes are in bytes; partitions are addressed by name.

  • 68k C — bebbo's amiga-gcc, built and working on this Mac but not on PATH: ~/opt/amiga/bin/m68k-amigaos-gcc (GCC 6.5.0b), with NDK, libnix and ixemul under ~/opt/amiga/m68k-amigaos/, plus fd2pragma, fd2sfd and the ira disassembler. Verified 2026-08-22. ~/Development/amipkg/Makefile is the reference invocation — note -lgcc after the objects.

  • Software onto a system — amipkg (~/Development/amipkg/): the on-Amiga package manager for AmigaOS 3.x — signed catalog, SHA-256 verification, CPU-aware dependency resolution, receipts for clean removal; CLI + GadTools GUI + MUI GUI. ~/Development/amiga-pkg/ is the catalog gateway that validates submissions and publishes the signed index.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
