tidal-sdk-ios: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

tidal-sdk-ios AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from tidal-music/tidal-sdk-ios. It costs 986 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for an iOS software development kit for TIDAL. They describe its Swift modules, project layout, build and test commands, code style, and generated files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when working on the SDK’s authentication, music player, API, event, or shared modules, including building, testing, linting, and reviewing example apps.
Why use it?
They give coding agents the project-specific information needed to change the SDK without guessing how its parts fit together. They also identify commands for checking changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00986 $0.00986
Opus 5 $0.00493 $0.00493
Sonnet 5 $0.00197 $0.00197
Haiku 4.5 $0.00099 $0.00099

Measured 8d ago against content hash 358c8ca6e93e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

tidal-sdk-ios AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Guidelines

Project Structure & Module Organization

  • Modules in Sources/: Auth, Common, EventProducer, Player, TidalAPI (+ Template).
  • Dependencies: Player → Auth, EventProducer, Common, GRDB, Kronos; EventProducer → Auth, Common, GRDB, SWXMLHash; Auth → Common, KeychainAccess, Logging; TidalAPI → Auth, Common, AnyCodable.
  • Tests in Tests/<ModuleName>Tests/ (e.g., PlayerTests). Test plan at Tests/PlayerTests/PlayerTests.xctestplan.
  • Example apps in TestApps/ for interactive runs.
  • CI/aux scripts in bin/ and Scripts/; generated API under Sources/TidalAPI/Generated (do not edit).

Build, Test, and Development Commands

  • Setup: ./local-setup.sh (pre-commit hook + blame config).
  • Build: swift build
  • Tests (all): swift test | Filter: swift test --filter PlayerTests
  • Player test plan: swift test --testplan Tests/PlayerTests/PlayerTests.xctestplan
  • Xcode Player tests: xcodebuild -scheme 'Player' -sdk iphonesimulator -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator, name=iPhone 15,OS=17.2' test
  • Lint: ./bin/swiftlint/run-swiftlint.sh or -i "file1.swift file2.swift" (pre-commit runs automatically)
  • Docs preview: INCLUDE_DOCC_PLUGIN=true swift package --disable-sandbox preview-documentation --target Module
  • Generate API client: cd Sources/TidalAPI && ./generate_and_clean.sh
  • Create module: ./generate-module.sh (use PascalCase)

Coding Style & Naming Conventions

  • Swift 5.9, tabs for indentation; max line width ~130 (see .swiftformat).
  • Imports and typealiases sorted; trailing commas and whitespace normalized by SwiftFormat.
  • SwiftLint enforces additional rules; config at .swiftlint.yml (some rules disabled to fit SDK patterns).
  • Naming: modules/types in PascalCase, methods/properties in lowerCamelCase. Filenames match primary type (PlayerManager.swift).

Testing Guidelines

  • XCTest under Tests/<TargetName>Tests/; files end with Tests.swift, methods test...().
  • Prefer isolated unit tests; avoid network. Use protocol-driven fakes/mocks.
  • Cover public API and critical paths (auth flows, playback, event queue/persistence).
  • Use Player test plan for structured runs and coverage.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
