AGENTS.md

hr-skills AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from tuanductran/hr-skills. It costs 1,737 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository guide for building and publishing HR and talent-acquisition skills. It explains the project layout, branch rules, development workflow, and generated files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding or updating HR skills, choosing the right branch, running the build, or regenerating documentation and registry files.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents and contributors one reliable place to find project rules and avoids editing generated files or compatibility links incorrectly.

Written for Claude Code and Codex and OpenCode: Claude Code plugin machinery, but also the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is tuanductran/hr-skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode how to work on hr-skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything hr-skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01737 $0.01737
Opus 5 $0.00869 $0.00869
Sonnet 5 $0.00347 $0.00347
Haiku 4.5 $0.00174 $0.00174

Security

Grade A, and why

hr-skills AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

HR skills development guide

Project overview

hr-skills-monorepo is a Bun + Turborepo monorepo of domain-specific Agent Skills for HR and talent acquisition, distributed for Claude Code and claude.ai. Each skill lives at skills/hr-*/SKILL.md. The publishable hr-skills package provides the hr-skills npm executable; packages/hr-skills-build and packages/hr-skills-ref provide the TypeScript library surfaces, while packages/hr-skills-tsdoc owns multi-package TSDoc API generation. Generated artifacts — docs/engineering/skill-matrix.md, registry/skills.json, .claude-plugin/marketplace.json — are derived from skill frontmatter and must never be hand-edited; regenerate them with the corresponding bun run command instead.

This file is the canonical, tool-agnostic entry point for both human contributors and AI agents. CLAUDE.md is a symlink to this file — edit AGENTS.md only. The detailed, day-to-day workflow guidance this file used to duplicate now lives in .agents/ — see Where things live below.

Branch strategy

[!IMPORTANT] Never develop on the main branch.

  • main is the publishing branch and only contains released skills.
  • dev is the development branch where all feature work, fixes, and content updates should occur.
  • Always create pull requests against dev, not main.
Branch Purpose Direct commits
main Publishing (npx hr-skills --help) Forbidden
dev Development, tests, experiments Via PR only

Quick start

bun install # Install all dependencies (run once, or after package changes)
npx hr-skills --help # Run the published CLI without a global install
bun run validate # Validate all skill SKILL.md files
bun run test # Run tests across workspace packages

Every other command — the full list, plus what each one does and when to use it — is documented once, in .agents/skills/turbo/SKILL.md and .agents/skills/bun/SKILL.md, not repeated here.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
