Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.02067 | $0.02067 |
| Opus 5 | $0.01033 | $0.01033 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00413 | $0.00413 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00207 | $0.00207 |
Grade A, and why
claude-cleaner CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 217 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
Claude Cleaner is a TypeScript/Deno tool that removes Claude artifacts (files and commit trailers) from Git repositories. It uses git filter-branch for both file removal (via an internal index-filter self-invocation) and commit message cleaning (via an internal msg-filter self-invocation).
Essential Commands
Development
# Run the tool locally
deno run --allow-all src/main.ts --help
deno run --allow-all src/main.ts check-deps
deno run --allow-all src/main.ts --verbose # Dry-run mode (default)
# Type checking and linting
deno check # Type check
deno fmt # Format code
deno lint # Lint code
Testing
# Run all tests
deno test --allow-all
deno task test
# Run specific test suites
deno task test:unit # Unit tests only
deno task test:integration # Integration tests only
deno task test:verbose # All tests with verbose output
# Run specific test file
deno test --allow-all tests/unit/file-cleaner.test.ts
Building
# Compile to standalone binary
deno task build
# or
deno compile --allow-all --output claude-cleaner src/main.ts
Architecture
Core Modules
Entry Point (main.ts):
- CLI interface using Cliffy framework
- Command:
claude-cleaner [options]andclaude-cleaner check-deps - Three modes:
--files-only,--commits-only, or full cleaning (both) - Dry-run by default; requires
--executeflag to apply changes
Dependency Manager (dependency-manager.ts):
- Validates that Git is available — the only external runtime dependency
- History rewriting is performed entirely by Git plus this tool's own
self-invoked
git filter-branchfilters (seeinternal-filter.ts); the former Java/BFG/sd/mise toolchain has been removed - Does not install anything;
--auto-installis a deprecated no-op - Key methods:
checkGit(),checkAllDependencies()
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
