skills: Instructions file for Gemini CLI

GEMINI.md

skills GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from vargHQ/skills. It costs 215 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Instruction files for Gemini CLI, a command-line coding agent, that require it to find an appropriate tutorial before building AI video, image, audio, or editing workflows. They also tell it how to use Varg generation tools and check estimated credit costs before large jobs.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when configuring Gemini CLI for Varg-based media generation, tutorial lookup, cost estimates, and OAuth sign-in.
Why use it?
They give the agent a repeatable way to choose a workflow and avoid spending credits without the user's approval.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00215 $0.00215
Opus 5.5 $0.00086 $0.00086
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00043 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00021

Security

Grade A, and why

skills GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

varg for Gemini CLI

Before you build any video, image, audio or editing pipeline (UGC ad, captions, lyric or music video, talking avatar, product video, explainer, faceless short, edit a video, FFmpeg), call search_how_to on the varg-how-to server with the person's request in their own words. Then call get_how_to on the best how_to card. It returns the tutorial: the best skill and its install command, the 2–4 options to show the person (with example videos), and the steps. Search needs no key.

To generate, use the varg server. It signs in with OAuth the first time and gives one credit balance for every image, video, voice, music and lip-sync model. Call estimate_cost before a batch, a long video or a render.

The same instructions as agent skills live in this repository: how-to-make-ai-video (search) and varg-ai (generation).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
