vanguard-frontier-agentic: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

vanguard-frontier-agentic CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from VincentChuWaiChow/vanguard-frontier-agentic. It costs 5,295 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

The main operating guide for a marketplace repository containing cloud, zero-trust, and compliance-focused AI workflows, along with catalog data and validation tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when making catalog or documentation changes, running validation and lint checks, or working on the repository's Rust terminal tool.
Why use it?
It defines the checks needed to keep catalog entries, documentation, assets, routing, and marketplace exports accurate.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.05295 $0.05295
Opus 5 $0.02648 $0.02648
Sonnet 5 $0.01059 $0.01059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00530 $0.00530

Measured 12d ago against content hash 71108efa0e23, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

vanguard-frontier-agentic CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Vanguard Frontier Agentic

This repository is a curated marketplace for cloud, zero-trust, and compliance-aware AI workflows. Two things live here: the catalog itself (agents, skills, rules, MCP references, machine-readable indexes) and the tooling that keeps it honest (validation gates, generators, and the vfa-tui Rust terminal UI). Almost every mistake in this repo is caught by a gate — so the working loop is: make the change, run the gates, fix what they say, and never bypass one.

Quick start

npm install # one-time install
pip install jsonschema # one-time; validate:promotion-gatekeeper imports it and fails without it
# ...make catalog/doc changes...
npm run validate # 20+ gates (every validate:* script in package.json — catalog, schema, asset integrity, model policy, routing, marketplace)
npm run lint:spell # codespell — separate CI gate, NOT part of validate
npx --yes markdownlint-cli2 "**/*.md" "#node_modules" # markdown lint — separate CI gate

If you touched tools/vfa-tui, also run its gates (CI's Gate job runs all three and fails the PR independently):

cd tools/vfa-tui
cargo fmt --check && cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings && cargo test

If you touched the catalog (agents/skills/roles/providers), run npm run manifest:write:all then npm run asset-integrity:write last, on its own (see the ordering caveat at the bottom) before npm run validate.

What this repo contains

  • skills/ — reusable workflows for recurring engineering tasks
  • agents/ — expert roles with judgment for review, architecture, and operations (each with per-harness variant files under harnesses/)
  • rules/ — harness-specific operating guidance
  • mcp/ — MCP references and trust-boundary notes
  • catalog/ — machine-readable indexes (agents, skills, model policy/registry/assignments, asset-integrity manifest)
  • schemas/ — metadata contracts
  • docs/ — governance, taxonomy, compatibility, and quality guidance (Jekyll site)
  • scripts/ — generators and the model-policy engine; tests/ — the validation gates behind npm run validate
  • tools/vfa-tui/ — Rust terminal UI over the catalog (see its section below)
  • plugins/, powers/, templates/ — harness plugin bundles, Kiro Powers, and contribution templates (generated or scaffolding; regenerate, don't hand-edit generated output)
  • .claude/skills/ — project skills that codify how to work here (agentic-delegation, model-registry-refresh)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
