Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.06397 | $0.06397 |
| Opus 5 | $0.03198 | $0.03198 |

Grade C, and why
skills-check CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What This Project Is
skills-check is the quality and integrity layer for Agent Skills. It answers: "Are my skills correct, safe, current, and efficient?"
Agent Skills are SKILL.md files — markdown documents with YAML frontmatter that instruct AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) how to work with specific products, frameworks, and patterns. Skills look like documentation but are treated as executable instructions by agents with file system and shell access. This makes skill quality a security and correctness concern, not just a readability one.
skills-check sits alongside skills.sh (which handles installation, discovery, and distribution) as the complementary verification layer. skills.sh installs them, skills-check keeps them safe. The skills.sh maintainer is a colleague — skills-check should leverage and complement skills.sh, never duplicate or compete with it. The repo also doubles as a reusable GitHub Action (voodootikigod/skills-check@v1).
Scope: What skills-check owns
skills-check focuses on analyzing, verifying, and maintaining skills — not distributing them. Capabilities that belong here answer questions like:
- Is this skill current? — Version drift detection, staleness checking (
check, refresh) - Is this skill safe? — Security audit, hallucination detection, prompt injection scanning (
audit) - Is this skill well-formed? — Metadata validation, structural linting (
lint) - Is this skill efficient? — Context window token cost analysis (
budget) - Is this skill's version bump honest? — Content-change-to-version-bump verification (
verify) - Does this skill still work? — Eval/test integration for regression detection (
test) - Does this skill comply with our policies? — Organizational trust rules and enforcement (
policy)
Scope: What skills-check does NOT own
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

skills-check CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository voodootikigod/skills-check (13 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 6,397 tokens to every session, about $0.0320 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 1 finding (hidden instructions). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
