supply-chain-monkey: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

supply-chain-monkey AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from wavenumber-eng/supply-chain-monkey. It costs 300 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for AI agents working on Supply Chain Monkey, a FastAPI service that queries electronic-component suppliers. It adds rules for branches, deployments, credentials, dependencies, and release checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing branches, Appliku deployment settings, provider credentials, Python packaging, supplier tests, or production-release preparation.
Why use it?
It keeps development and production changes separated and prevents deployment or import settings from breaking. It also defines the required checks for releases and optional live supplier tests.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00300 $0.00300
Opus 5.5 $0.00120 $0.00120
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00060 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00030 $0.00030

Measured 2mo ago against content hash be04765e9dc4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

supply-chain-monkey AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Supply Chain Monkey Agent Guide

Rules

  • Treat dev as the integration branch and production as the deployed release branch.
  • Keep Appliku deployment changes small and verify the full signoff before opening a PR into production.
  • Do not hardcode company deployment URLs or credentials in source.
  • Keep [tool.uv] package = false; Appliku imports the app with PYTHONPATH.
  • Keep appliku.yml on the managed python-3.13-uv image unless a full Dockerfile deploy cycle is being tested.
  • If build_image: dockerfile is introduced, update the Dockerfile, docs, and L99 Appliku tests in the same change.
  • Provider credentials come from process environment through scm.server.settings. Do not reintroduce provider-level .env loaders.
  • Do not add alternate import-path compatibility shims.

Commands

uv sync --group dev
uv run pytest -q
uv run rack run L99_signoff
uv run python -m build --sdist --wheel --outdir temp\dist
uv run twine check temp\dist\*

Live supplier tests are opt-in:

$env:SUPPLY_CHAIN_ENABLE_LIVE_TESTS = "1"
uv run pytest tests\L0_foundation\test_supplier_interface.py -q
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
