Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
obsidian-agent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Overview
This is an Obsidian plugin that implements an Agent Client Protocol (ACP) client, enabling integration with AI coding agents that support the ACP standard. The plugin spawns an external ACP-compatible agent process, communicates with it over JSON-RPC via stdin/stdout, and provides a chat UI within Obsidian.

Architecture
Core Components
main.ts - Plugin entry point
- Extends Obsidian's
Pluginclass - Registers the agent view type and ribbon icon
- Manages plugin lifecycle (load/unload)
- Creates and maintains a singleton
ACPClientinstance - Provides commands: open view, connect, disconnect
acp-client.ts - ACP protocol implementation
- Spawns external agent process using Node's
child_process.spawn - Converts Node.js streams to Web Streams for ACP library compatibility
- Creates
ClientSideConnectionfrom@zed-industries/agent-client-protocol - Implements all required ACP client methods as protocol callbacks
- Manages terminal subprocesses spawned by agent requests
- Handles vault path resolution for file operations
agent-view.ts - Chat UI component
- Extends Obsidian's
ItemViewto create custom view - Displays streaming agent messages, tool calls, plans, and permission requests
- Handles in-place updates for tool calls (shows status badges)
- Renders permission requests inline with approve/deny buttons
- Auto-scrolls messages container
- Manages connection controls and message input
settings.ts / settings-tab.ts - Configuration
- Stores agent command path, arguments, and preferences
- Provides settings UI in Obsidian settings panel

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

obsidian-agent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository WhiskeyJack96/obsidian-agent (15 stars, last pushed 8mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,365 tokens to every session, about $0.0068 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (runs shell commands).
