aigent CLAUDE.md

aigent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from wkusnierczyk/aigent. It costs 557 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A project guide for aigent, a Rust library and command-line tool that manages AI-agent skill definition files. It documents the code layout, commands, architecture, error handling, and coding rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing aigent, changing its parser or validator, working with YAML or JSON data, or running its Rust build and quality checks.
Why use it?
It gives contributors one place to learn how the project is organized and how code should be built, tested, formatted, and checked.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00557 $0.00557
Opus 5 $0.00279 $0.00279
Sonnet 5 $0.00111 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00056 $0.00056

Measured 3d ago against content hash 7cda7f107268, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

aigent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Overview

Rust library + CLI + Claude Code plugin for managing AI agent skill definitions (SKILL.md files). Implements the Anthropic agent skill specification.

Commands

cargo build # Build debug
cargo build --release # Build release
cargo test # Run all tests
cargo clippy -- -D warnings # Lint (warnings = errors)
cargo fmt # Format code
cargo fmt --check # Check formatting

Architecture

  • Error handling: thiserror enum AigentError with Result<T> alias. No unwrap() in library code.
  • Serialization: serde derive macros for YAML/JSON. #[serde(rename)] for kebab-case fields.
  • CLI: clap derive macros with #[command(subcommand)].
  • Unicode: unicode-normalization crate for NFKC.
  • Version: compile-time env!("CARGO_PKG_VERSION"), single source of truth in Cargo.toml.

Coding Conventions

  • Idiomatic Rust: use Result<T, E>, pattern matching, iterators
  • No unwrap() or expect() in src/lib.rs and modules — propagate errors with ?
  • expect() allowed in static initializers (e.g., LazyLock<Regex>) for compile-time invariants
  • unwrap() allowed in tests and main.rs for known-safe operations
  • #[must_use] on functions returning values that shouldn't be ignored
  • Public items must have doc comments (///)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
