This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Project Overview

MCP server (stdio-based) that bridges Claude/Cursor/any MCP client to Moonshot AI's Kimi Code CLI. TypeScript with ESM modules, compiles to Node.js. Spawns kimi as child processes in print mode and parses output (plain text or --output-format=stream-json).

Architecture is intentionally a near-clone of @trishchuk/codex-mcp-tool — the codex-mcp-tool patterns (CommandBuilder + Executor + SessionStorage + WorkingDirResolver + ErrorTypes + Logger) are mirrored here for parity, with adaptations for Kimi's flag surface.

Commands

• npm run build — Compile TypeScript to dist/
• npm run lint — Type-check only (tsc --noEmit)
• npm test — Stub
• npm run dev — Build + run once
• npm start — Run compiled server
