cross-agent-skills-template: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

cross-agent-skills-template AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from yammaku/cross-agent-skills-template. It costs 2,208 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for cross-agent-skills-template, a catalog and installation system for instructions used by coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, and Gemini CLI.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when improving the skill system in this repository, changing its documentation, or deciding how the template’s catalog and installation views should work.
Why use it?
They explain which files to read, what the repository is for, and where its public template ends. This helps keep the reusable template separate from private installed skills.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is yammaku/cross-agent-skills-template's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on cross-agent-skills-template itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything cross-agent-skills-template configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02208 $0.02208
Opus 5 $0.01104 $0.01104
Sonnet 5 $0.00442 $0.00442
Haiku 4.5 $0.00221 $0.00221

Measured 10d ago against content hash 5df5591810e8, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

cross-agent-skills-template AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md

This file is the development guide for this skills-registry repo itself.

Use it when this repository is the active project and the user wants to improve the skill system, not just operate it from another project.

Repo Purpose

This template is the source-of-truth catalog and install-management system for AI agent skills across:

  • Antigravity
  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • Gemini CLI

This repo is both:

  • a catalog of canonical skill sources
  • a small product that generates agent-global and project-local install views from manifests
  • a universal shared meta-skill that teaches agents how to operate the system safely

Template Boundary

This repo is the public, distributable template version of the system. It is not the user's lived-in private registry.

Treat it as:

  • the productized minimal starter
  • the public distribution surface
  • the place where reusable system behavior should remain clean and understandable to new users

Do not let it drift into a copy of the private live registry.

The private sibling repo currently lives at:

Document Roles

Treat the docs as layered on purpose:

  • README.md: front door, bootstrap instructions, and high-level system model
  • skills/shared/manage-agent-skills/SKILL.md: cross-project operator manual after bootstrap
  • AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md: repo-local development guide for evolving this system itself
  • README.md is intentionally the AI-led onboarding contract for fresh install and migration. Do not split that into a separate bootstrap skill.

If a rule is necessary for correct behavior from any project, it belongs in the meta-skill. If a rule is about improving this repo as a product, it belongs here.

The intended cross-project workflow is:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
