Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: reads ~/.codex or $CODEX_HOME, but also the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md.

This is yingying-chu/class-action-finder's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on class-action-finder itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything class-action-finder configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00264 $0.00264
Opus 5 $0.00132 $0.00132
Sonnet 5 $0.00053 $0.00053
Haiku 4.5 $0.00026 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

class-action-finder AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AGENTS.md

This repo contains a single portable skill for capable AI assistant and agent environments in skills/class-action-finder/. ChatGPT, Claude, and Codex are the currently packaged and tested integrations.

CLAUDE.md is the source of truth for how the skill is structured — its two jobs, the reference files, the persistent claim record, generated-report handling, the provider-adaptive mail step, and the dist/ packaging rule. All of it applies to Codex too; read it first, and keep it (not this file) authoritative so the two don't drift.

Codex specifics

  • Install: ./install.sh --codex installs into Codex's global skills directory (${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/skills/) so it works across all projects. The default ./install.sh targets Claude Code.
  • Invoke: $class-action-finder on Codex, versus /class-action-finder on Claude Code.
  • Tracker file: ${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/class-action-tracker.json. Codex and Claude Code keep separate trackers; neither installer overwrites the other's.

See README.md for full setup instructions.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
