Core Rules

  • Use XeLaTeX only. Prefer 16:9 10pt Beamer unless a supplied template or user request requires otherwise.
  • Default visible slide text to English. Use Chinese only when the source is primarily Chinese or the user explicitly requests Chinese slides.
  • Keep the .tex file as the source of truth for statements, diagrams, notation, figures, and references.
  • Do not use overlays: no \pause, \onslide, \only, or \uncover.
  • Never use \tiny to fix density. Split slides instead.
  • Prefer Beamer definition, theorem, lemma, corollary, example, and proof environments for formal material.
  • State objects, domains, parameters, assumptions, quantifiers, and conclusions explicitly. Define every symbol before use.
  • Maintain notation discipline: one symbol per meaning, explicit domains, no unrelated parameter reuse, and expanded abbreviations on first use.
  • After section/navigation changes, compile with XeLaTeX at least twice before judging navigation.
  • For paper-based decks, default to full seminar reconstruction unless the user requests a short deck.
  • For new full seminar decks, include at least 3 image-forward background or motivation frames using local bitmap images through \includegraphics.
  • Never finalize with empty Background content, empty motivation slides, missing graphics, or unreplaced placeholders such as Replace this, TODO, or <...>.
