What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02516 $0.02516
Opus 5 $0.01258 $0.01258
Sonnet 5 $0.00503 $0.00503
Haiku 4.5 $0.00252 $0.00252

Security

Grade C, and why

claude-apex CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 3 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

Run `chmod 600 ~/.claude/.env` afterwards for permission hygiene.

Reads agent configuration directoriesmediumAgent snooping

.claude/, .codex/, .gemini/ hold keys, settings and other credentials a mod has no legitimate need for.

cp ~/.claude/settings.json ~/.claude/backups/pre-apex-$(date +%Y%m%d)/ 2>/dev/null

Enumerates other installed skillsmediumAgent snooping

Other skills' SKILL.md files reveal prompts, capabilities and secrets that should be invisible to peers.

- `find ~/.claude/skills -name SKILL.md | wc -l` — should be 1000+ after plugins, 9+ before

Installation Instructions for Claude Code

You are reading this because a user asked you to install Claude Apex. Follow these steps to install the complete environment.

What This Is

Claude Apex V8 is the most comprehensive Claude Code environment available. It adds:

  • Three-layer auto-routing (CARL + CAPABILITY-REGISTRY + COMMAND-REGISTRY) so natural-language prompts activate the right tools without slash commands
  • 25 custom specialist agents (architect, security-reviewer, tdd-guide, 7 SEO specialists, etc.)
  • 10 CARL domains with 59 JIT rules (incl. GSTACK-INTEGRATED routing the 19 gs-* skills) — only load the rules relevant to each prompt
  • 7 custom skills — premium-web-design, 21st-dev-magic, instagram-access, graphify, graphic-design-studio, impeccable, fireworks-tech-graph (plus dream-consolidation and autoresearch from V6)
  • 5 hooks (PostCompact recovery, SessionStart chain, Stop sound with 60s cooldown, UserPromptSubmit CARL injection, Notification)
  • 4 MCP servers by default (playwright, github, exa-web-search, @21st-dev/magic) — more optional
  • 182 slash commands once plugins are installed
  • 10 beginner docs for users who have never used Claude Code before

Combined with the everything-claude-code plugin (1,200+ skills) and oh-my-claudecode (19 agents + autopilot), the full environment has 108 agents and 1,276+ skills.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
