yuppie-mcp-tts: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

yuppie-mcp-tts CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from yuppie1949/yuppie-mcp-tts. It costs 751 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a text-to-speech server that turns written text into MP3 audio using Microsoft's Edge voice service. It also documents development commands, testing, code checks, and the server's two-package layout.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when installing development dependencies, running tests and code checks, starting the local server, or changing the text-to-speech library and its MCP interface.
Why use it?
It gives a coding agent the project-specific rules and commands needed to work consistently in the repository. It also explains where the speech-generation code and server wrapper belong.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00751 $0.00751
Opus 5 $0.00376 $0.00376
Sonnet 5 $0.00150 $0.00150
Haiku 4.5 $0.00075 $0.00075

Security

Grade A, and why

yuppie-mcp-tts CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

uv pip install -e ".[dev]"

uv run pytest -v

ruff check src/
ruff format --check src/

mypy src/

# 本地运行 MCP Server(stdio 模式)
uv run yuppie-mcp-tts

  • packages/yuppie-tts(库包,PyPI 名 yuppie-tts):核心 TTS 合成逻辑,无 MCP / pydantic 依赖
    • src/yuppie_tts/synth.pysynthesize()(edge-tts 合成返回 MP3 bytes)、AVAILABLE_VOICESDEFAULT_VOICE_rate_str
  • packages/yuppie-mcp-tts(壳包,PyPI 名 yuppie-mcp-tts):MCP Server,依赖库包
    • src/yuppie_mcp_tts/server.py:唯一 import mcp 的文件,注册所有工具
    • src/yuppie_mcp_tts/tools/tts.py:Pydantic BaseModelstr_strip_whitespace + extra="forbid")+ async def 实现 + markdown 输出 + try/except 友好错误,核心合成调库包

  • tools/tts.py(壳包): TTS 工具实现,Pydantic 输入模型 + markdown 输出,调 yuppie_tts.synthesize
  • synth.py(库包): edge-tts 原生异步合成,无需 asyncio.to_thread()

默认 stdio(MCP 主流用法)。main() 根据 MCP_TRANSPORT 环境变量切换:streamable-http 时通过 run()host/port 参数启动(默认 127.0.0.1:8000)。

  • 使用 ruff(line-length = 100)和 mypy(strict = true)
  • 工具返回 markdown 字符串;失败时返回 ❌ ...失败:{异常}

API 参考

  • text_to_speech(text, voice, speed) — 文字转语音返回 base64 MP3
  • list_voices() — 列出所有可用嗓音(50+)
  • text_to_speech_file(text, output_path, voice, speed) — 文字转语音保存到文件

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
