AGENTS.md

pydoll-mcp-server AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from yurilopes/pydoll-mcp-server. It costs 1,478 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for the Pydoll MCP server, a Python service that lets agents automate browsers through a standard connection protocol.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing, reviewing, testing, or documenting that repository so the work follows its established rules.
Why use it?
It gives contributors the project's context, language rules, local references, and non-negotiable quality and safety requirements.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01478 $0.01478
Opus 5 $0.00739 $0.00739
Sonnet 5 $0.00296 $0.00296
Haiku 4.5 $0.00148 $0.00148

Measured 7d ago against content hash 430a80ace152, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pydoll-mcp-server AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agent Instructions

Project context

This repository implements a Python MCP server for browser automation with Pydoll. The server exposes a predictable and safe API for agents while preserving Pydoll's async model and client isolation.

The project language is English. Code, comments, documentation, commit messages, tests, fixtures, and progress notes must be written in English. Conversation with Yuri may happen in Portuguese, but repository artifacts should remain in English.

Golden rule

Keep quality high from the first change. Do not accept shortcuts, defer cleanup, or assume that temporary debt will be fixed later. Fix the root cause while the context is available.

Human readability, correctness, and safety take priority over terseness, implementation speed, and clever abstractions.

Local paths

  • Project repository: C:\Users\Yuri\Documents\Git\pydoll-mcp-server.
  • Local Pydoll repository, read-only: C:\Users\Yuri\Documents\Git\pydoll.
  • Python via Anaconda: C:\Users\Yuri\anaconda3\python.exe.
  • Vendored Pydoll documentation: references/pydoll-docs/.

These paths are local to this environment. Do not copy them into public documentation.

Non-negotiable rules

  • Treat this machine with care. This machine is our home.
  • Do not run destructive actions unless strictly necessary, and never revert changes made by others.
  • Preserve UTF-8 and do not use em dash characters.
  • Do not modify the websocket_lambda repository. It is a style reference only.
  • Do not copy secrets, credentials, or insecure patterns found in other projects.
  • Do not expose execute_cdp_cmd, operating-system commands, or arbitrary filesystem access.
  • Do not weaken Ruff, mypy, Pyright, the LSP, or tests to hide a problem.
  • Do not bend production code to make mocks easier or to make tests pass.
  • Do not add artificial backward compatibility to preserve incorrect alpha contracts.

File size and module boundaries

  • Target size: at most 400 physical lines per Python file.
  • Hard limit: 450 physical lines per Python file.
  • Files over 450 lines must be refactored before the work is considered complete.
  • Files between 401 and 450 lines require a short review or progress note explaining why the code should remain together.
  • Prefer cohesive extraction by domain behavior. Do not split a module only to satisfy a line count if the split makes the code harder to read.
  • When a module nears the target, move stable helper logic, typed models, scripts, or adapters into focused sibling modules.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
