Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00394 | $0.00394 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00197 | $0.00197 |

Grade A, and why
django-rest-framework-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview
This is django-rest-framework-mcp, a Python library that enables developers to expose Django REST Framework APIs as MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
In This Directory
Refer to @CONTRIBUTING.md for the most important information on how to develop new functionality, which you will be doing a lot. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST ALWAYS be sure to run the formatter, linter, typechecking, and ensure the full test suite passes (Steps 2 and 4 in that doc) after making a code change!! Do not ever say you are done with a task without having done this cleanup.
Refer to /README.md for user-facing guide to library.
The repository includes offline documentation in /external-docs:
- Django REST Framework API reference
- MCP protocol specification
Full source code of select important dependencies is available in /source-code-of-dependencies for deep integration reference. You should never write any code in these files, since this code is not actually running. It's there for you to read and understand:
encode-django-rest-framework: Complete Django REST Framework source code for understanding ViewSet patterns, serializer implementations, request/response handling, etc.
The /djangorestframework_mcp directory contains the code for django-rest-framework-mcp (the library we're building!).
The /tests directory contains all tests (unit and integration). Tests use pytest with Django configuration in conftest.py.
The /demo directory is a standalone Django app that can be used to manually test the MCP Server locally.
The /internal-docs directory contains lower-level documentation about the implementation, strategy, or goals of the django-rest-framework-mcp project. See @internal-docs/CLAUDE.md for full list of resources.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

django-rest-framework-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository zacharypodbela/django-rest-framework-mcp (54 stars, last pushed 9mo ago), licensed BSD-3-Clause. It adds 394 tokens to every session, about $0.0020 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
