CLAUDE.md

biomedical-ai-skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from zamushwani/biomedical-ai-skills. It costs 2,342 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A Claude Code instruction file for a repository of validated cancer-biology and multi-omics research skills. It defines the repository layout, publishing details and required verification rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, reviewing or releasing skills and code in the biomedical-ai-skills repository.
Why use it?
It gives Claude Code binding project-specific rules so changes are checked against the package source, tests and published artifacts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.02342 $0.02342
Opus 5 $0.01171 $0.01171
Sonnet 5 $0.00468 $0.00468
Haiku 4.5 $0.00234 $0.00234

Security

Grade A, and why

biomedical-ai-skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Biomedical AI Skills

Validated SKILL.md files for cancer biology and multi-omics research. Published to GitHub and to PyPI as biomedical-ai-skills.

This file is binding. Where it conflicts with habit, convenience, or a plausible-looking tutorial, this file wins.

Layout

skills/<name>/SKILL.md the skill
skills/<name>/README.md overview, diagram, gotchas table
skills/<name>/tests/ validation against public datasets
src/biomedical_ai_skills/ pip package and CLI
assets/ images referenced by README, absolute URLs only

Not every directory under skills/ is published. Some are unreviewed local drafts excluded from git. Run git ls-files skills/ before claiming a skill exists publicly.

The five non-negotiables

  1. Verify before you write. Never write a version number, function signature, argument name, or default value from memory. Check it against the registry and the package source, in this session, before it goes in a file.
  2. Changing a skill means releasing. A skill edit that is committed but not released leaves pip install serving stale content. The release is part of the change, not a follow-up.
  3. Never report success from an intermediate signal. A green workflow, a 200 response, or a successful commit is not evidence the artifact is correct. Verify the artifact itself.
  4. Never claim a test passes unless you executed it. If it was not run, say "written but not executed" and say why.
  5. Stage explicit paths. Never git add . or git add -A. Loose personal files sit in the repo root.

Verification gates

Each gate is a command. Run it and read the output. Do not proceed on assumption.

Gate 1 — before writing about any package

curl -s https://crandb.r-pkg.org/<pkg> | python3 -m json.tool | head -20 # R
curl -s https://pypi.org/pypi/<pkg>/json | python3 -m json.tool | head -20 # Python

Then read the actual signature from source, not a tutorial:

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
