Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01369 | $0.01369 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00685 | $0.00685 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00274 | $0.00274 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00137 | $0.00137 |
Grade A, and why
zbs-researcher CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
- **Stdlib-only** (urllib, threading). Telethon/MLX are lazy optional imports only; `yt-dlp` is an optional external tool the youtube channel degrades without. How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 47 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
zbs-researcher — Claude Code project instructions
Deep-research Claude Code plugin (skill deep-research): a multi-channel research runner — LLM lenses (Gemini/Grok/Perplexity, OpenAI opt-in, OpenRouter Tier-2) + free direct connectors (HN, hiring, Polymarket, GitHub, github-issues, Reddit via Arctic-Shift, Bluesky, launch-radar, revenue-radar, Meta Ads, Telegram, TikTok/IG, Threads) + a conversational onboarding wizard.
Three research modes (--mode, plus a session playbook): single (broad-scan, one blanket query per channel), entity-fanout (enumerate top-N entities → per-entity fan-out matrix), and investigate — the flagship, the forced default: a session-driven agentic loop (compose short target-scoped queries per source → --fire → read → drill → problems-first synthesis) that reads the platforms from inside. The product thesis: beat a web-index researcher (Parallel AI) on QUALITY — native full-breadth social/community depth + auditable primary evidence. "Free/cheaper" is NOT the pitch. Always default to the deepest investigate mode unless the user explicitly asks for a quick scan.
Operating contract (how to work in this repo)
This project is Nikita's proving ground for beating Parallel on research quality. The bar is high; do not take the easy path.
- Pipeline, always. Non-trivial work goes through the compound-engineering pipeline:
ce-brainstorm(WHAT) →ce-plan(HOW, implementation-ready) →ce-work(build) → adversarialce-code-reviewbefore landing. Plan-first, tests-always. A change without a plan + tests + review is not done. - No shortcuts. Never ship the easy version to close the task. If a real fix is bigger, say so and do it — or surface the tradeoff explicitly. Corner-cutting here is the failure mode to avoid.
- Ignore the skill soup. The one skill that earns its keep here is compound-engineering (the plan→test→review boundary). Do NOT reach for unrelated global skills (personal/creative/marketing skills, the reflexive "invoke a skill first" habit) — they add context noise, not value, in this repo.
- Land via PR to
origin/main(branch offorigin/main— see [[two-unrelated-git-histories]]); merge/push/publish (npm, version bumps) are outward actions that need Nikita's explicit go. - Verify before claiming done: full unittest suite green (
python3 -m unittest discover -s testsfromskills/deep-research) +bash scripts/selftest.sh10/10 + no paid calls in tests.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

zbs-researcher CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository zbs-gg/zbs-researcher (4 stars, last pushed 26d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,369 tokens to every session, about $0.0068 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
