CLAUDE.md

alphacouncil-agent CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Zhao73/alphacouncil-agent. It costs 4,304 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for alphacouncil-agent, a Codex plugin that researches publicly traded companies.

In plain words
What is it for?
They guide full or quick stock analysis, method selection, evidence gathering, Bull/Bear cross-examination, portfolio-manager review, and report creation.
Why use it?
They define the research contracts, evidence roles, debate stages, report requirements, and rules for incomplete evidence.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.04304 $0.04304
Opus 5 $0.02152 $0.02152
Sonnet 5 $0.00861 $0.00861
Haiku 4.5 $0.00430 $0.00430

Security

Grade A, and why

alphacouncil-agent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude Instructions For This Repository

You are working on alphacouncil-agent, a Codex plugin for public-equity research.

Purpose

The plugin turns @alphacouncil-agent <ticker/request> into one of two explicit equity-research council contracts:

  • full_v2 is the default: display and confirm the method catalog, run all eight mandatory evidence roles, run every selected method, complete the three-round Bull/Bear cross-exam, run the PM, and write the complete report. Plugin-managed headless full starts all eight evidence workers in one parallel wave, gives each scored v3 method one isolated voice worker after its deterministic stance is frozen, retains deterministic explanations for hashed frozen abstentions, and runs Bull/Bear in parallel within each round with barriers between rounds. If mandatory evidence still fails after its one bounded parse-only repair, persist the failure package, skip method/debate/PM model calls, and terminate incomplete before downstream synthesis.
  • quick_v1 runs only when explicitly requested and only through plugin-managed headless analyze_symbol: display every method returned by the selector, confirm 1-4, run four fixed evidence roles and the selected methods in parallel waves, one parallel Bull/Bear statement round, then a short PM inside a hard ten-minute ceiling.

Never infer quick from impatience, a short prompt, a deadline, or a full-mode failure. Do not downgrade to lite, smoke-test, or debug output unless the user explicitly asks for that non-investment test output.

Current Build Profile

The declared package/plugin version is 1.9.1; verify npm/GitHub/installed-host state separately before claiming which build is the current published default. The packaged tree contains 26 physical v3 packs and 52 executable method tools. Every seat carries the operator_lens admission level: method_model = 0, human source approvals = 0, human formula approvals = 0, human approval signatures = 0. Human review of the authored formulas and the live four-host end-to-end run are the outstanding work, so the production assembly path stays fail-closed until both are done. See docs/releases/v1.0.0.md, CHANGELOG.md for everything since, and docs/report-contract.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
