CLAUDE.md

clawbox CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from zhaolianghz/clawbox. It costs 675 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for ClawBox, a cross-platform desktop app that manages AI coding agents and their settings. They describe its Rust desktop backend, Svelte and TypeScript frontend, configuration syncing, and project structure.

In plain words
What is it for?
They are for developing and maintaining ClawBox, including agent detection, provider configuration, settings synchronization, and frontend or backend changes.
Why use it?
They give an agent the context needed to make changes in the right part of a codebase that has both desktop and web interface components.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00675 $0.00675
Opus 5 $0.00338 $0.00338
Sonnet 5 $0.00135 $0.00135
Haiku 4.5 $0.00068 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

clawbox CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

ClawBox is a cross-platform desktop application (Tauri v2) for managing AI coding agents: it detects/installs agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, etc.), configures model providers, and syncs provider/MCP/skills/memory settings down to each agent's own config files.

Architecture

Backend (Rust, src-tauri/)

  • Entry: src-tauri/src/main.rslib.rs (run() registers all Tauri commands via invoke_handler)
  • src/commands/ — Tauri command handlers exposed to the frontend:
    • config.rs — model provider / app config CRUD
    • sync.rs — sync orchestration (per-agent provider binding, overview)
    • cc_switch.rs — cc-switch import
    • install.rs, agents.rs, aggregate.rs, provider_test.rs
  • src/sync/ — per-agent config adapters (providers.rs, codex.rs, skills.rs, memory.rs, json_file.rs, cli.rs)
  • src/agents/, src/backends/ — agent detection and backend definitions
  • src/path_env.rs — PATH bootstrapping (must run before threads spawn)

Frontend (Svelte 5 + TypeScript + Vite, repo root)

  • Entry: src/main.tssrc/App.svelte
  • Pages in src/routes/: agents/, providers/, mcp/, capabilities/, about/
  • src/lib/api/ — typed wrappers around Tauri invoke calls
  • src/lib/stores/ — Svelte stores (e.g. config.ts for providers)
  • src/lib/i18n/en.json / zh.json locales (svelte-i18n)
  • Styling: TailwindCSS 4 + Skeleton

Note: agent↔provider binding is per-agent (no global "star"/sync-all); the agent page selector has no unbind option — once bound, an agent stays managed by ClawBox.

Commands

npm run dev # frontend dev server (vite, port 1420)
npm run tauri dev # full app in dev mode
npm run tauri build # release build + bundles (.app / .dmg on macOS)
npm run check # svelte-check type checking
cd src-tauri && cargo test # Rust tests

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
