rigol-oscilloscope-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

AGENTS.md

rigol-oscilloscope-mcp AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode from zinntikumugai/rigol-oscilloscope-mcp. It costs 1,733 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A project instruction file for agents working on a Python server that controls Rigol oscilloscopes, electronic test instruments, through SCPI commands.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing, testing, or reviewing the server, including simulated tests and optional tests against a real oscilloscope.
Why use it?
It tells coding agents which commands, architecture rules, safety checks, and hardware-test conditions the project expects.

Instructions file for Claude CodeCodexOpenCode

Written for Claude Code and Codex and OpenCode: Claude Code plugin machinery, but also the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions AGENTS.md; mentions Codex.

This is zinntikumugai/rigol-oscilloscope-mcp's own configuration. It tells Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode how to work on rigol-oscilloscope-mcp itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything rigol-oscilloscope-mcp configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01733 $0.01733
Opus 5 $0.00866 $0.00866
Sonnet 5 $0.00347 $0.00347
Haiku 4.5 $0.00173 $0.00173

Security

Grade A, and why

rigol-oscilloscope-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

mise install                  # Python + uv(バージョンはmise管理、依存はuv管理)
RIGOL_MCP_FAKE=1 uv run rigol-oscilloscope-mcp   # 実機なしでstdio起動(FakeScope接続)

# 実機テスト(env-gated。未設定なら自動skip)
RIGOL_TEST_ADDRESS=<実機IP> uv run pytest -m device                          # read-only
RIGOL_TEST_ADDRESS=<実機IP> RIGOL_TEST_ALLOW_WRITE=1 uv run pytest -m device_write  # write(復元付き)

server.py(FastMCP、38 Tool、同期def+lock直列化)
  → service/(connection / state / measurement / waveform / analysis / screenshot / control / decode / paths)
tests/test_plugin.py が整合を検証)

実機は RIGOL_TEST_ADDRESS 環境変数でのみ渡す。 例示IPが必要なら TEST-NET(192.0.2.x)を使う
未対応機能は送信前に UNSUPPORTED_FEATURE を返す。 *OPT?
  4. 実機で実行禁止: 50Ω設定(FIFT)、autoset、factory reset(confirmフローはFakeScopeテストのみで担保)。
  5. 新Toolの追加手順: safety/classes.pyTOOL_CLASSES へ分類を追記(未登録は起動失敗する)。RESTRICTED_WRITE / DANGEROUS_WRITE に分類したら confirm_token 引数が必須(起動時チェックが強制)。引数条件付きの昇格(configure_channelの50Ω等)は service/control.py の責務

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
