What is Watermelon AGENTS.md?

A project briefing for Watermelon, an iOS photo-backup app that copies photos to services such as S3, SFTP, Dropbox, and OneDrive. It also explains the separate macOS migration target and the main test coverage.

Use it when changing the iOS backup flow, shared storage clients, photo-library handling, onboarding, or tests for backup-related logic.

Project

iOS photo-backup app: reads PHAsset, writes to SMB / WebDAV / S3-compatible / SFTP / OneDrive / Dropbox / external-volume storage. Single Home screen + More page + first-launch onboarding. Build with Watermelon.xcodeproj.

WatermelonMac/ is a separate macOS target for legacy-data migration only — it does not run the iOS backup pipeline, has no released build, and shouldn't be pointed at real user data.

WatermelonTests (XCTest) covers Home pure-logic units, S3 SigV4, SFTP credential / error-classifier shapes, and write-lock / orphan-cleanup logic. Anything that touches a real photo library or remote is manually regressed.
