What is prometheus-mcp-server?

A Docker-based MCP server for Prometheus, a system used to collect and query monitoring metrics. It requires configuration for the Prometheus connection, authentication, transport, and related settings.

Use it for supported Prometheus metric and monitoring tasks. It runs in Docker and can be configured for authenticated or secured Prometheus connections.

It lets a coding agent work with Prometheus monitoring data through MCP rather than requiring separate manual queries.
