What is proton-mail-mcp?

An unofficial MCP server that lets an AI agent work with Proton Mail, an email service, through local SMTP and IMAP connections.

Use it to send, read, search, and organise Proton Mail messages, with options such as read-only access and restricting outgoing mail.

It removes the need to handle Proton Mail messages manually for supported email tasks, but it requires configuration with 15 environment variables.
