What is task-master-ai?

A local task-management service for organizing large software projects with AI-assisted development. It runs from the task-master-ai npm package and requires nine provider API keys to run.

It is for managing development tasks through a local MCP service, using the configured AI providers.

It provides a separate place to break ambitious development work into tasks instead of leaving the agent to manage everything in conversation.
