What is netdefense-mcp?

An MCP server configuration for NetDefense's command-line tool. MCP is a standard way for an AI assistant to use external tools; this server requires an NDCLI token.

Use it to configure an MCP client to launch netdefense-mcp and access the capabilities provided by NetDefense's tool.

It provides the connection details needed to start the server, while keeping the required credential explicit.

Install

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Clone the repo

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/netdefense-io/NDCLI

Installing this writes the configuration, not the program: `https://github.com/netdefense-io/ndcli-releases/releases/download/v1.40.0/netdefense-mcp_1.40.0.mcpb` has to be on your PATH already, or the server will not start.
