What is desktop-commander?

A local tool that lets an AI agent use terminal commands, manage running processes, and edit files. It is provided through the Desktop Commander package.

It helps run commands, start or manage processes, search or edit files, and work with documents and structured files such as PDFs, DOCX files, spreadsheets, images, and data files.

It removes the need to switch between the agent and a separate terminal or file editor for supported local work.
