What is csrf-protection?

A security add-on that protects web forms and other state-changing requests from CSRF attacks, where another website tricks a signed-in browser into taking an unwanted action.

Use it to add synchronizer tokens, double-submit cookies, and SameSite cookie settings to web applications and APIs.

It reduces the risk of unauthorised actions by checking that requests genuinely came from your application.
