What is devcontainer-setup?

A tool for creating a development container: a ready-made project environment that runs consistently across operating systems. It configures project tools, version management, task commands, caches, and access to host Git, Claude Code, and Codex credentials without committing secrets.

Use it to generate a .devcontainer configuration for a project, prepare language-specific toolchains, bootstrap Claude Code in Anthropic's cloud service, and run setup diagnostics.

It removes much of the manual setup needed to make every developer use the same environment, while also providing checks for fixing setup problems.
