AGENTS.md — a simple, open format for guiding coding agents
AGENTS.md is an open file format for giving AI coding agents project-specific context and instructions, functioning much like a README intended for agents. Developers use it to explain how an agent should work within a codebase. The catalogue entry is an instruction based on this format.
These files are agentsmd/agents.md's own configuration. They tell Codex and OpenCode how to work on this repository, so they are not mods to install elsewhere. Copy one as a starting point and replace the parts that are about this project.
