This protocol is like a shared "tool inventory" for the project. Before writing any code, the AI must check a registry file (FUNCTIONS.md) for an existing function to reuse or extend — only creating new ones when nothing fits. New functions get logged back into the registry.

These files are bullboy1/babycoding's own configuration. They tell GitHub Copilot, Codex, OpenCode, Claude Code and Gemini CLI how to work on this repository, so they are not mods to install elsewhere. Copy one as a starting point and replace the parts that are about this project.
