Maintainer vs public agent instructions

  • AGENTS.md (committed): instructions for agents helping end users with the RiskModels API (tickers, factors, hedges). Use that framing for product/support-style questions.
  • AGENTS_INTERNAL.md (optional, gitignored, create locally): maintainer / cross-repo instructions (schemas, OpenAPI, MCP sync, BWMACRO ↔ Risk_Models). If this file exists in the repo root, read it and follow it for any maintenance, schema, sync, or repo-operations work.

If AGENTS_INTERNAL.md is missing, rely on SKILL.md, .agents/skills/repo-sync/, and .cursor/rules/repo-sync-enforcer.mdc for schema and sync discipline.
