trove-a11y

trove-a11y is a cursor rule for coding agents from bravew/trove. It costs 0 tokens per session (445 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Accessibility rules for web and mobile interfaces, including keyboard use, readable contrast, form labels, and ARIA attributes. Accessibility means making software usable by people with different abilities and assistive technologies.

In plain words
What is it for?
Checking UI component code for WCAG requirements and appropriate ARIA patterns, especially when working on interactive elements and forms.
Why use it?
It helps catch interface barriers that can prevent people from navigating, reading, or using controls.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00445
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00222
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00089
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00044

Measured 5d ago against content hash 878d60392647, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

trove-a11y scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Trove · v2026.7.4

Session Init

This skill ships Trove conventions. Prefer existing project patterns over generic best practices when they conflict.

Accessibility Conventions

ARIA Patterns

  • Use semantic HTML first (<button>, <nav>, <main>) before ARIA roles
  • Add aria-label to icon-only buttons
  • Use aria-live="polite" for dynamic content updates
  • Set aria-expanded on toggle buttons and disclosure widgets

Keyboard Navigation

  • All interactive elements must be keyboard accessible
  • Tab order follows visual flow (avoid tabindex > 0)
  • Escape closes modals and dropdowns
  • Enter/Space activates buttons and links

Color & Contrast

  • Text contrast: minimum 4.5:1 (AA), 7:1 (AAA)
  • Large text (18px+ or 14px+ bold): minimum 3:1
  • Don't rely on color alone to convey information

Forms

<!-- Always associate labels -->
<label for="email">Email</label>
<input id="email" type="email" aria-describedby="email-help" required />
<span id="email-help">We'll never share your email.</span>

<!-- Error states -->
<input id="name" aria-invalid="true" aria-errormessage="name-error" />
<span id="name-error" role="alert">Name is required</span>

AI Gotchas

  • div soup: Replace <div onClick> with <button> — divs aren't keyboard accessible
  • Images: Decorative images get alt="" not missing alt
  • Focus trapping: Modals must trap focus and return focus on close
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
