Minimize Side Effects
Functions that modify external state are harder to test and reason about. Isolate side effects to specific locations.

Prefer Immutability
Immutable data is easier to reason about — you don't need to track where it might have changed.

Law of Demeter
Don't chain through objects. Each unit should only talk to its immediate collaborators.

Composition Over Inheritance
Favor combining simple objects over building inheritance hierarchies.
Make Dependencies Explicit
Inject dependencies rather than hiding them. This improves testability and makes relationships clear.
