CLI-Anything Generator Rule

When building, refining, testing, validating, or listing CLI-Anything harnesses — or when /cli-anything* is used — apply these rules:

  1. Resolve PLUGIN_ROOT before reading methodology:
    • Read %USERPROFILE%\.cursor\cli-anything-generator.root or ~/.cursor/cli-anything-generator.root
    • Else {plugins}/local/cli-anything/PLUGIN_ROOT.txt (default plugins dir or $CURSOR_PLUGINS_HOME)
    • Use absolute paths only; never workspace-relative ./HARNESS.md
  2. Read {PLUGIN_ROOT}/references/HARNESS.md and the matching references/commands/*.md.
  3. Prefer slash commands /cli-anything, /cli-anything-refine, /cli-anything-test, /cli-anything-validate, /cli-anything-list.
  4. Persist progress at {software-root}/agent-harness/.cli-anything-progress.json. Create agent-harness/ when tracking starts. Do not advance a phase until the previous is completed. Resume non-terminal runs.
  5. Keep generated harness format identical to Claude Code / Codex outputs.
  6. Consumer Hub/skills (cli-hub-meta-skill, skills/cli-anything-*) are separate from this generator.
