Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Only the verdict fits; the numbers stay here.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00000 | $0.00533 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00213 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00107 |

Grade B, and why
claude-optimization scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

.claude/, .codex/, .gemini/ hold keys, settings and other credentials a mod has no legitimate need for.
1. **`permissions.deny`** in [`.claude/settings.json`](../../../.claude/settings.json) — blocks Read, Glob, and Grep on secrets and heavy artifacts. What it actually says
Claude Code optimization
Keep this as a short operations guide. Put long tutorials in documentation/reference/.
Session context hygiene
- Start a fresh Claude Code session for each distinct, unrelated task.
- Prefer precise
@references to relevant files over broad repo prompts. - Use progressive disclosure: scoped
.claude/rules/stubs and skills load on demand; do not paste long guides into prompts. - Run
/compactwhen a session grows long; team defaultautoCompactEnabled: truein.claude/settings.jsonis a safety net. - Run
/contextto inspect top token consumers; addpermissions.denyentries if noisy paths appear. - Do not re-run
/initover hand-curatedCLAUDE.md— it duplicates canonical config.
File exclusion (not .cloudignore)
Claude Code does not use .cloudignore or .claudeignore. SilverKey uses:
permissions.denyin.claude/settings.json— blocks Read, Glob, and Grep on secrets and heavy artifacts..gitignore— respected whenrespectGitignore: true(default in team settings).
MCP usage
- Daily default:
github,linear,slackfrommcp.example.json→ gitignoredmcp.json. - Enable high-footprint servers (AWS suites, analytics) only when the task explicitly needs them.
- Avoid duplicate connector sources (project
mcp.json+ plugin for the same service). - Semantic search MCPs (Code Graph, Cartographer) are optional — scoped rules + GitHub MCP cover most SilverKey work.
Verification feedback loop
- Use project scripts (
make lint, pnpm check, targetedpytest) after edits. - Fix newly introduced errors before expanding scope.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

claude-optimization is a cursor rule published in the GitHub repository jaycewalzer1/SilverKey-Inc. (2 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 533 tokens. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.

Prefer extracting a testable core over vi.mock / vi.resetModules when unit tests need to reach production logic entangled with config, env, or singletons.
