Bitfinex.Net Conventions

This codebase uses Bitfinex.Net for Bitfinex exchange access. Do not write raw HttpClient calls to Bitfinex endpoints.

Client setup pattern

For public market data only, no credentials are needed: new BitfinexRestClient().

Result pattern

All methods return WebCallResult<T> (REST) or CallResult<T> (WebSocket). Always check .Success before reading .Data:

API surface

• restClient.SpotApi.ExchangeData for public market, funding market, derivatives status and symbol metadata
• restClient.SpotApi.Account for wallets, deposits, withdrawals, margin info, ledgers and account info
• restClient.SpotApi.Trading for orders, trades and positions
• restClient.GeneralApi.Funding for authenticated funding offers, loans, credits and auto-renew
• socketClient.SpotApi for public and authenticated WebSocket streams and socket order/funding actions

Bitfinex symbol conventions matter:

• Trading symbols: tBTCUSD, tETHUSD
• Funding symbols: fUSD, fBTC
• Derivatives symbols: tBTCF0:USTF0

Order placement

Let the library auto-generate clientOrderId. Do not pass a custom one unless required for an existing operational flow:
