Package Purpose
The Hyper-V provider collects VM inventory from Windows Hyper-V hosts (standalone or Failover Cluster) via WinRM (PowerShell remoting over HTTPS). Disk files are accessed through an SMB share mounted in a sidecar pod (HyperVProviderServer) via the SMB CSI driver. Inventory is stored in the file-backed DB and exposed through the inventory REST API at /providers/hyperv/….
