interfaces

interfaces is a cursor rule for Cursor from lwyBZss8924d/DeepSearchAgents. It costs 0 tokens per session (321 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Documentation for the different ways to use DeepSearchAgent, including a command-line interface and a FastAPI web service. The command-line interface supports interactive or single-query use, while the web service exposes agent endpoints and health checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run DeepSearchAgent from a terminal, call it through a REST API, check service health, configure agent types, or deploy it in a container.
Why use it?
It helps developers choose how to run the agent and understand the available entry points. It also describes running it directly, through Make commands, or in Docker.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00321
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00161
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00064
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00032

Measured 4d ago against content hash 34c8218dc570, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

interfaces scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

DeepSearchAgent Interfaces

DeepSearchAgent provides multiple interfaces for different usage scenarios:

Command-Line Interface (CLI)

  • cli.py: Command-line interface for interactive use
    • Supports both interactive mode and single-query execution
    • Allows overriding configuration parameters via command-line arguments
    • Usage examples:
      • Interactive mode: python -m src.agents.cli
      • Single query: python -m src.agents.cli --query "Search for something"
      • Override agent type: python -m src.agents.cli --agent-type react

FastAPI Service

  • main.py: Web service based on FastAPI framework
    • Exposes RESTful API endpoints for agent functionality
    • Provides health checks and API documentation
    • Main endpoints:
      • /run_react_agent: Runs the ReAct agent
      • /run_deepsearch_agent: Runs the configured agent (ReAct or CodeAct)
      • /: API information and health check

Deployment Methods

All interfaces can be run using:

  • Direct Python execution (python -m src.agents.cli)
  • Through the make commands in the Makefile (make cli, make run, make mcp)
  • As a Docker container (build using provided Dockerfile)
  • With environment variables for configuration (DEEPSEARCH_AGENT_MODE=react python -m src.agents.main)
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

interfaces is a cursor rule published in the GitHub repository lwyBZss8924d/DeepSearchAgents (135 stars, last pushed 1y ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 321 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
