Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00000 | $0.01541 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00000 | $0.00771 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00000 | $0.00308 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00000 | $0.00154 |
Grade A, and why
marketing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 169 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Marketing Domain Knowledge
Key Metrics & Formulas
When calculating marketing metrics, use these standard definitions:
- CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost): Total sales & marketing spend / Number of new customers acquired
- LTV (Lifetime Value): Average revenue per customer × Average customer lifespan (or ARPU / churn rate for subscription businesses)
- LTV:CAC Ratio: LTV / CAC (healthy = 3:1 or higher)
- ROAS (Return on Ad Spend): Revenue from ads / Ad spend (break-even = 1.0)
- CPC (Cost Per Click): Ad spend / Number of clicks
- CPM (Cost Per Mille): (Ad spend / Impressions) × 1000
- CTR (Click-Through Rate): Clicks / Impressions × 100
- Conversion Rate: Conversions / Total visitors (or clicks) × 100
- MQL → SQL Conversion: SQLs / MQLs × 100
- Churn Rate: Customers lost in period / Customers at start of period × 100
- NRR (Net Revenue Retention): (Starting MRR + expansion − contraction − churn) / Starting MRR × 100
- Payback Period: CAC / (ARPU × Gross margin)
SEO Audits
When performing SEO audits, check for:
Technical SEO
- Title tags (present, unique, 50-60 chars)
- Meta descriptions (present, unique, 150-160 chars)
- H1 tags (exactly one per page)
- Image alt text
- Canonical tags
- robots.txt and sitemap.xml
- Page speed / Core Web Vitals
- Mobile responsiveness
- HTTPS
- Broken links (internal and external)
- Structured data / schema markup
On-Page SEO
- Keyword placement (title, H1, first 100 words, URL)
- Internal linking structure
- Content length and depth relative to competitors
- URL structure (short, descriptive, hyphenated)
Content Quality Signals
- Originality
- E-E-A-T signals (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness)
- Freshness / last updated date
- Multimedia (images, videos, infographics)
Email Marketing Best Practices
When generating email content:
- Subject lines: 6-10 words, frontload the value prop, avoid spam triggers (FREE, !!!, ALL CAPS)
- Preview text: Complement the subject line (don't repeat it), 40-130 chars
- Body: One clear CTA per email, scannable with short paragraphs, personalization tokens where appropriate
- Plain text version should always accompany HTML
- Unsubscribe link is legally required (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

marketing is a cursor rule published in the GitHub repository maccman/growth-agents (5 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,541 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
