When working on KiCad projects in this repository:

  1. Use the kicad MCP server for PCB and schematic operations.
  2. Start with read-only tools before making any changes.
  3. Run ERC/DRC after any edit.
  4. Never claim manufacturing readiness without export and validation evidence.
  5. For design changes: explain the proposed change, ask for confirmation, then proceed.
  6. After changes: run ERC + DRC + DFM checks and summarize what changed.
