Use Node.js 24 or newer and the pnpm version in package.json. Read README.md, docs/DEVELOPMENT.md, and docs/tool-reference.md before changing runtime behavior.
Run pnpm build, pnpm test (macOS), pnpm lint, pnpm typecheck, and pnpm validate. The tests use the MCP SDK directly; browser/Inspector automation is optional for manual investigations.
Keep stdout reserved for the MCP protocol. Scripts run with the host user's privileges; use synthetic inputs and task-owned temporary files for live proof. Document macOS permissions and inputs when contributing knowledge-base scripts.
