gsap-plugins

gsap-plugins is a cursor rule for Cursor from taotao135791-bit/gsap-transform. It costs 0 tokens per session (536 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of rules for GSAP add-ons that handle tasks such as splitting text, morphing SVG shapes, drawing paths, dragging, and layout transitions. GSAP is a JavaScript animation library, and these add-ons must be registered before use.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when implementing advanced text, SVG, dragging, motion-path, or layout animations with GSAP.
Why use it?
It prevents common setup and reset errors, such as broken browser imports, invalid SVG targets, and animations accumulating when they run again.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00000 $0.00536
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00268
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00107
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00054

Measured 4d ago against content hash 9f0b5b219ab4, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

gsap-plugins scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

gsap-plugins

  • Register every plugin used: gsap.registerPlugin(SplitText, MorphSVGPlugin, ...).
  • All plugins are free since Webflow acquisition. Install from public gsap npm package; no .npmrc / auth token / Club membership.

Browser-native ESM CDN (no bundler):

  • Use https://esm.sh/[email protected] for the core and https://esm.sh/[email protected]/<PluginName> for plugins.
  • Always use default imports for plugins — named imports from esm.sh may resolve to undefined.
  • Never use cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/gsap/<Plugin>.js — module graph breaks.

Plugin-specific:

  • MotionPath and DrawSVG: accept <path> elements only — not <circle>, <rect>, <ellipse>. Convert other shapes to <path> first.
  • MorphSVG: writes to the <path> d attribute, not inline CSS. clearProps does not restore d — capture original d at load time and restore manually in any reset function.
  • SplitText: revert before re-running on the same element (splitInstance.revert()); otherwise nested splits accumulate.
  • Flip: use Flip.getState() → DOM change → Flip.from(state) for layout transitions.
  • Draggable + InertiaPlugin: pass an array of axes (type: "x,y") and inertia: true for momentum.

Exporting motion as transparent video: skills/gsap-plugins/SKILL.md "Exporting GSAP SVG motion as video" section — Puppeteer + FFmpeg, ProRes 4444 alpha or VP9 alpha WebM.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
