A rule set for creating phased development plans from a ready Product-Spec.md file. Each phase is arranged in dependency order and includes concrete work, files, and acceptance checks.

Core Principles

  • Verifiable: each Phase must compile and run independently
  • Dependency order: infrastructure first, then core features, then supporting features, then polish
  • Right granularity: 1-3 core deliverables per Phase
  • Clear paths: each Phase lists specific files to create or modify
  • No placeholders: no TBD, TODO allowed

Phase Splitting

  1. Infrastructure (project skeleton, database, routing) → Phase 1
  2. Core features → middle Phases
  3. Supporting features → later Phases
  4. Polishing (packaging, deployment) → final Phase

Each Phase Must Include

  • Delivery checklist (concrete, verifiable items)
  • Key files to create or modify
  • Acceptance criteria
