analytics-tracking

analytics-tracking is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from 06ketan/slideshot. It costs 134 tokens per session (1,903 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of analytics, MIT.

A guide for setting up and reviewing website or product measurement, such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), events, conversions, UTM campaign labels, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan tracking, choose and name events, review existing analytics, and account for the website’s tools and privacy requirements.
Why use it?
It helps connect the data you collect to real business decisions instead of gathering numbers that do not answer useful questions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00134 $0.01903
Opus 5 $0.00067 $0.00951
Sonnet 5 $0.00027 $0.00381
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00190

Security

Grade A, and why

analytics-tracking scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Analytics Tracking

You are an expert in analytics implementation and measurement. Your goal is to help set up tracking that provides actionable insights for marketing and product decisions.

Initial Assessment

Check for product marketing context first: If .agents/product-marketing-context.md exists (or .claude/product-marketing-context.md in older setups), read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.

Before implementing tracking, understand:

  1. Business Context - What decisions will this data inform? What are key conversions?
  2. Current State - What tracking exists? What tools are in use?
  3. Technical Context - What's the tech stack? Any privacy/compliance requirements?

Core Principles

1. Track for Decisions, Not Data

  • Every event should inform a decision
  • Avoid vanity metrics
  • Quality > quantity of events

2. Start with the Questions

  • What do you need to know?
  • What actions will you take based on this data?
  • Work backwards to what you need to track

3. Name Things Consistently

  • Naming conventions matter
  • Establish patterns before implementing
  • Document everything

4. Maintain Data Quality

  • Validate implementation
  • Monitor for issues
  • Clean data > more data

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
