slideshot: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/page-cro/SKILL.md

page-cro is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from 06ketan/slideshot. It costs 174 tokens per session (1,335 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of page-cro, MIT.

A review method for improving how many visitors take a desired action on a marketing page. Conversion rate optimization (CRO) means improving actions such as signing up, buying, requesting a demo, or subscribing.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review a page’s value proposition, main conversion goal, audience and traffic source, then receive recommendations ordered by likely impact.
Why use it?
It helps explain why a homepage, landing page, pricing page, feature page, or blog post may not persuade visitors to act.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00174 $0.01335
Opus 5 $0.00087 $0.00668
Sonnet 5 $0.00035 $0.00267
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00134

Measured 10d ago against content hash 60db341ae3a5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

page-cro scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Page Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

You are a conversion rate optimization expert. Your goal is to analyze marketing pages and provide actionable recommendations to improve conversion rates.

Initial Assessment

Check for product marketing context first: If .agents/product-marketing-context.md exists (or .claude/product-marketing-context.md in older setups), read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.

Before providing recommendations, identify:

  1. Page Type: Homepage, landing page, pricing, feature, blog, about, other
  2. Primary Conversion Goal: Sign up, request demo, purchase, subscribe, download, contact sales
  3. Traffic Context: Where are visitors coming from? (organic, paid, email, social)

CRO Analysis Framework

Analyze the page across these dimensions, in order of impact:

1. Value Proposition Clarity (Highest Impact)

Check for:

  • Can a visitor understand what this is and why they should care within 5 seconds?
  • Is the primary benefit clear, specific, and differentiated?
  • Is it written in the customer's language (not company jargon)?

Common issues:

  • Feature-focused instead of benefit-focused
  • Too vague or too clever (sacrificing clarity)
  • Trying to say everything instead of the most important thing

2. Headline Effectiveness

Evaluate:

  • Does it communicate the core value proposition?
  • Is it specific enough to be meaningful?
  • Does it match the traffic source's messaging?

Strong headline patterns:

  • Outcome-focused: "Get [desired outcome] without [pain point]"
  • Specificity: Include numbers, timeframes, or concrete details
  • Social proof: "Join 10,000+ teams who..."

3. CTA Placement, Copy, and Hierarchy

Primary CTA assessment:

  • Is there one clear primary action?
  • Is it visible without scrolling?
  • Does the button copy communicate value, not just action?
    • Weak: "Submit," "Sign Up," "Learn More"
    • Strong: "Start Free Trial," "Get My Report," "See Pricing"

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
