fusion-tea: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/research/SKILL.md

research is a skill for Claude Code from 1cFE/fusion-tea. It costs 14 tokens per session (1,615 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research workflow for finding reliable source material and adding accepted domain knowledge to a shared knowledge base. Authority sources are references considered trustworthy for the subject.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to investigate a topic, assess source material, and record approved findings for later work.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk of basing a model or decision on unsupported information or sources that have not been approved.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00014 $0.01615
Opus 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00646
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00323
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00161

Measured 24d ago against content hash 16e4dcf506d3, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 24d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 129 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Research Command

Purpose: LEARN from external sources — explore authority sources, produce a research document, and capture approved domain insights (DI-XXX) into the knowledge base. Input: Research question or topic Output: Research document in knowledge/research/pending/ (moved to approved/ on approval) + DI-XXX entries in knowledge/KNOWLEDGE.md

Research is the primary curation gate (AP-6): raw findings pass through user review before entering the knowledge base. The agent generates content; scripts handle file operations and registry updates (AP-7); the user makes approval decisions.

When invoked without a topic, ask "What would you like me to research?" and wait.

Skills Referenced

  • source-traceability: SOURCE_INDEX format, source types, citation patterns. Consult when reading knowledge/SOURCE_INDEX.md to discover available sources, and when writing citations in the research document.

Process

1. Gather Context

Read to understand what's already known and what sources are available:

  • knowledge/SOURCE_INDEX.md — authority sources available for this project (see source-traceability skill for source types)
  • knowledge/KNOWLEDGE.md — existing DI-XXX insights. Are any relevant? Does the topic overlap with existing insights?
  • modeling_project/OVERVIEW.md — project goals (G-XXX) and analysis questions (AQ-XXX). Which does this research serve?
  • knowledge/research/ — check pending/ and approved/ for prior research on related topics to avoid duplication

If the user mentions specific files, read them fully before proceeding. Check related epics in work/backlog/ for background that shapes the research question.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

research is a skill published in the GitHub repository 1cFE/fusion-tea (5 stars, last pushed 24d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 14 tokens to every session and 1,615 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-29.
